Revit Basics for Detailing and Coordination

This 2-night course introduces participants to the use of Revit for sheet metal detailing within Building Information Modeling (BIM). The class focuses on applying Revit’s tools to create accurate and coordinated models that support fabrication, layout, and documentation in the construction process. While introductory in nature, the course is designed with the needs of detailers in mind and is best suited for more experienced sheet metal workers looking to expand into digital detailing. This class also serves as an introduction to the self-paced Revit training available through the ITI Online Portal, which participants are encouraged to complete for continued learning.

What You’ll Learn:
• Core BIM concepts and how they apply to sheet metal detailing.
• How to use Revit’s parametric modeling and documentation tools to create coordinated layouts.
• Practical techniques for integrating Revit into project planning, coordination, and execution.

Who Should Attend?
Recommended for experienced sheet metal workers and apprentices with strong field knowledge who want to transition into BIM modeling and detailing.
