Pre-Apprenticeship Training Program

The Pre-Apprenticeship Training Program is a hands-on, skill-building course designed to prepare participants for entry into the sheet metal and HVAC trade. This program provides foundational training in safety, tool use, layout, and fabrication. It is ideal for individuals exploring the trades or preparing to enter a formal apprenticeship.

Program Highlights:

  • Real-world, hands-on projects that build core skills
  • Emphasis on safety practices and proper PPE use
  • Tool identification and operation: porta-bands, saws-alls, drills, impacts, snips, and more
  • Basic layout and sheet metal fabrication skills
  • Intro to shop equipment: hand brake, shear, notcher, Pittsburgh machine, and others
  • Tips for apprenticeship readiness and job site expectations
