Required to Enroll in Laser Welding 102 – Hands-On Laser Welding

This foundational safety course is the first step toward handheld laser welding certification. Participants will learn the hazards, controls, and proper use of Class IV laser welding systems. Topics include:

• Laser classifications and beam control
• Personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Reflection hazards and workspace safety
• Signage, ventilation, and regulatory compliance
• OSHA/ANSI safety standards for laser use
• Field case studies and safety violations

Completion of this course is required before attending Part II.

No hands-on welding will take place during this class.
