Hands-On CNC Plasma Table Training

This hands-on upgrade class provides practical training in the safe setup and operation of the JATC CNC plasma table. Participants will learn how to prepare the machine for cutting, load and verify cut files, perform live cuts, and complete basic troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.

The course is designed for apprentices, journeypersons, and shop personnel who want practical experience operating CNC plasma equipment in a sheet metal fabrication environment.

• Machine startup and shutdown
• Homing and machine setup
• Material loading and positioning
• Loading and verifying cut files
• Torch setup and consumable inspection
• Performing live plasma cuts
• Torch height control
• Identifying common cutting problems
• Basic troubleshooting
• Machine cleanup and routine care

Prerequisite

Successful completion of CNC Plasma 101 – Torchmate CAD Design & Programming is required before enrolling in CNC Plasma 102.
