With over two decades of experience in the sheet metal and welding industry, Benny Wilson is a certified welding inspector with multiple endorsements, a certified welder, and a seasoned industrial sheet metal fabricator and specialist. His extensive career has spanned a diverse range of projects, including public art, architectural metal, structural iron, and even submarines. Benny’s expertise includes developing welding procedures for manual, semiautomatic, and robotic processes, performing weld testing and inspections, and welding a variety of metals such as steel, copper, aluminum, stainless steel, and exotics such as magnesium and titanium.
In addition to his hands-on experience, Benny is a certified Autodesk professional specializing in AutoCAD and BIM modeling, an OSHA-authorized trainer in construction and general industry, and an ICB-TABB-certified proctor. Benny’s leadership extends to his role as a SMART Welding and Core Curriculum Task Force Member. When he’s not in the classroom or the shop, Benny enjoys hunting, fishing, and camping with his family.
