Michael Torma is a dedicated 17-year member of Local 26, with over 19 years of experience in the sheet metal trade. A graduate of the Local 26 apprenticeship program in 2010, he has worked his way up from apprentice to journeyperson and foreperson, excelling in each role while representing both his employer and the local union with professionalism and commitment. As a journeyperson, Michael took pride in mentoring apprentices and peers, sharing his knowledge and skills. He has transitioned into a full-time instructor role. In addition to his trade expertise, Michael is nearing completion of a business management program with a labor studies focus, further strengthening his communication and leadership abilities. Outside of work, he has volunteered within his union and community, and his experience as a youth sports coach has honed his ability to engage and motivate others. In his free-time, Michael enjoys hiking and spending time with his wife and three children.
